Bounce Fitness w/Moe Joe, Magnolia Yoga Studio and Caribbean Dance Xplosion collaborate to bring the Magnolia Yoga Community, Bounce Fitness Supporters and City of New Orleans a unique masterclass workshop led by Jamaican Dancehall Queen and edutainer, Moiika.
Moiika is a performer, teacher and dance class instructor leading group classes in Jamaican Dancehall and African Diaspora movements.
This is a 60-minute dance and fitness experience curated to connect the empowerment of Caribbean dance with mind, body, soul wellness and performance.

Bio:
Moiika is a former Miss International Dancehall Queen from Jamaica 1stRU, Endorsed by Naked Juice and an internationally revered and respected choreographer and dancer. She has toured and been in music videos with Madonna., Beyonce, Puff Daddy, Sean Paul and so many more. She is based in Los Angeles, CA where she was one of the 2 proprietors of Dancehall as a genre and teaches weekly classes. She has taught at the world-famous Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio and Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
She has been on tour in Europe, Africa, Australia, and Southeast Asia since April 2016 giving workshops all over the continents catering to dance studios, resorts, gyms, social dance clubs, Zumba studios and pole dance studios. She trained in Africa for 6 month intensive in the styles of kuduro, afrohouse, pantsula, azonto and naija street dance.
We are heading to NOLA Mar 28-30th and are interested in collaborating to offer a Workshop during Moiika’s stay.
Moiika offers different edutainment structures to meet the needs of your students from single 1 hour and 15 min classes to all day/multi-day intensive workshops including a lecture and question/answer session on the culture/history of the dance, and her history as a dancer.
